Why I'm running

I've lived in Brookfield Estates for over a decade. I've watched this community grow, I use the parks and trails, and I care deeply about where this district is headed, from the services we receive to the green spaces we share.

In the years I've lived here, I haven't seen a contested MUD election. I believe residents deserve a real choice, and I believe the district has an opportunity to do more to actively seek out resident input through surveys, community feedback, and other outreach, not just at monthly meetings. Those are opportunities I'd like to help create.

I'm your neighbor. I'm running because this community deserves board members who live here, who have a stake in the outcomes, and who are genuinely reachable when you have a question or a concern.

About me

I've lived in Brookfield Estates since 2015. By day I work in technology, specifically in the infrastructure and systems side of software, keeping things running reliably behind the scenes. That kind of work requires attention to detail, long-term thinking, and knowing when something that looks fine on the surface is quietly heading toward a problem. Skills I think translate well to board governance.

I served on the Brookfield Homeowners Association board for several years, which gave me firsthand experience with the unglamorous but important work of community governance: budgets, contracts, competing priorities, and trying to communicate clearly with neighbors who have limited time and every right to expect straight answers. For the past four years I've also been involved in community organizing, working to connect people and build the kind of civic participation that makes neighborhoods function and communities thrive.

At home I live with my partner Tony, a registered nurse, and our four pets: two dogs who have very strong opinions about the parks and trails, and two cats who couldn't care less.

My commitment to you

If elected, I commit to being a board member who:

  • Is reachable and responsive
  • Shows up to every board meeting informed and prepared
  • Advocates for residents and the long-term health of the community
  • Pushes for proactive communication so you don't have to dig for information
  • Makes decisions with an eye on the long term, not just the next budget cycle

Have a question? I'd love to hear from you.
